political fashion show

Another press conference I attended to was a fashion show for the Philippine Women Judges Association (PWJA). It was a night of glamour and cocktails for them and one of the distinguished guests who graced that evening was no less than Governor Gwen Garcia. The event was held at Radisson Blu hotel.

Environmentalists showed thumbs down against the continuous operation of coal-fired power plants in Region 7.

There are just so many things going on but at least people should be thinking more often when it comes to the environment. I wouldn't speak as if I haven't thrown my own share of trash which has already turned into a massive amount of pollution. But a little thing called awareness is something that could be a good start. At least for me when I know something is not right I'd do something about it. xoxo

Another press conference I attended to was held at Harold's Hotel and it gave me a chance to taste their delightful menu. You should try their Pancit and Chop suey because it will give that sense of Filipino style dish and it tasted really good. This is probably why I love to eat veggies.

Everybody needs a little break from their work. And even though it’s a sure thing that mine comes with exciting perks I still need to relax and yes party. Being a contributing writer for a local newspaper (Cebu Daily News) while managing my very own blog has given me a widespread of opportunities meeting different people and doing business at the same time. It is definitely a whirlwind ride for me for the past year now (and though perhaps I’m not allowed to complain from anything on this) I beg to disagree. I still embrace the fact that some of my friends have known me for being that punk, rebellious, sarcastic, smoking and drinking chic. (Kids please don’t try this at home..lol) I mean, my vices are for a reason which I’m not pleased to share to my blog fans. Anyhoo, my friends and I usually hang out at this new hype lounge and bar located at the Ayala Center, Terraces—the 93^rd and 1^st. It’s actually named after a radio station 93.1 Club Radio.

When you talk about furniture in Cebu the name Kenneth Cobonpue will certainly come out in the conversation. Not that he is the only well-known furniture maker in the queen city of the south but simply because his chairs and tables are inimitably imaginative and stylish. His designs have been highly appreciated and well recognized not only in the country but all around the world. The “voyage” intimate bed was featured in Maroon 5 music video for “Never Gonna Leave This Bed.” And of course, it has also been the talk of the town when gorgeous Brad Pitt has bought not just one but at least more than two pieces of Cobonpue’s collection.

When I was at BE Resort in Punta Ingano, Lapu-Lapu I had the chance to take another glimpse of some of his pieces. They were beautifully made and real different from all other furniture you probably have seen. The pieces were perfect match to the serenity of the resort which also offers a breathtaking view from the pool to the shore.

Ssshhh. I got sunburn when my friends and I went to Bantayan Island for the Holy Week this year. It was a real adventure and we did a lot of crazy things. Though it was not a loud party after all with all the new rules set in the venue we made sure we enjoyed still.

I’m originally assigned as an Editorial Correspondent for CDN but I don’t really limit myself into that. I can’t help but flip into these lifestyle pages. (Tell you what) it’s a crazy dream of mine to be able to work for Elle or Vogue…guess where I am now is just the start.
