Vietnam Sunday | Rendezvous              
The gathering of which could not happen as often as we wanted. You look back at the moments that you can only remember. It is safe to say that we are delusional sometimes because we are free to leap into a world of our own (and yes we wish of that) though we only have minds to travel and get to that place...it could be as far as it gets.
Last weekend was really fun because I get to spend it with my mom and my brother. It rarely happens. We went to this newly opened restaurant (Crazy Crab) which has this ethnic vibe of Asian cuisine. My mom was not really into it but since it was my treat she didn't say no, haha. I have to say their Crab Relleno tasted really good. I have more photos but I'd like to keep some of them to myself (senti lang). After that my brother and I headed to our little adventure. We were going around basically looking for dessert :D if it wasn't obvious that day was #foodtrip I should say. There was something else...ergo that Sunday rendezvous.

Pancakes | As Always      
I don't really eat breakfast like a meal. I'm usually good with coffee or cereal that's how I do it but sometimes before going to work and just whenever I'm early heading way which doesn't happen as always I'll stop by at this coffee house and have some pancakes. I've tasted different kinds actually but I'd rather keep to myself which is the best I've had so far :) and also don't worry folks they're not overcooked when I took the photos. The plain pancakes are good but you should try the blueberry ones too. xoxo

There are only a few men who could pull off men's skirt and Kanye West was one of them. During his performance he was seen wearing a leather Givenchy men's skirt. This just caught me for a second since I've been playing tracks (Niggas in Paris and No Church In The Wild) featuring Jay-Z from their album Watch The Throne. It's about time..well I think men's skirt is definitely a fashion rally to signal a step forward towards the conventional clothing for men. I'm actually rooting for K West he's got good sense of style.
So it took a while for me to realize which cover photo to use on my FB header this time. It's quite annoying that somehow you feel obligated to be part of this whole thing. I know there are a lot of you who are still not getting the changes being made in Facebook but since it's social media after all then guess it's eventual. I thought of having this street sign of Time Square in New York. At first I just want to have that typical photo of NYC with its busy districts but then this one caught my eye. TBL | The Beautiful Life
I would love to see the ending of this but unfortunately the show was canceled. darn population select. The first episode was already quite catchy for me esp showcasing the Zac Posen collection. See the last piece #beautiful. I just love the line that goes "I make beautiful people very rich.."

sweet weekend                
a weekend full of sweetssss! i can't resist the pastries and that's that. i tried those new york brownies and yes it's true they're delicious. when i came in to a brunch together with my friends i bought them the triple treat chocolate cake to make up for being an hour super late (i know my bad) *peace you guys it won't happen again :D ..and there goes the oatmeal cookie. and since i chose not to eat rice that time we ordered the chicken quesadilla instead the perfect choice for me. i was really happy because (teresa, tracy and myself) don't get to spend that much time as matter of fact we hardly see each other because i guess that's what happen when we are too busy with our own different schedules. they're both teachers, imagine that, and while i still try to juggle my work and party-like-a-rockstar lifestyle it's always nice to be able to catch up and chitchat with those two gals. we talked about a lot of stuff, silly things and yes we reminisced our lovely college days. they are two of my good buddies so that's why. now we are actually planning on our next stop which would be japanese food trip and probably to visit our alma mater. we are all busy so i'm not sure when that's gonna happen. i mean, that brunch was planned and rescheduled for like so many times na, so guess i'll have to wait.
anyway, one thing i like about eating pastries or cakes in particular is that it gives you that feeling of relief and delight. of course the sensory taste is already given but then for me when i'm eating sweets or sugar coated desserts it's like washing away those bad feelings and mixed emotions being replaced with ideas and transitory contentment. but really in short, i think i just got my thing for sweets from my mom because she also loves chocolate and desserts. so now i have my eyes on the next pastry corner to check out for. xoxo
